Description
The Mezcal Paloma is a smoky, citrusy twist on a classic tequila cocktail. It’s refreshing, easy to make, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 oz mezcal
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- A touch of honey simple syrup
- 1.5 – 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- Sparkling water to top
- Salt, sugar, or a mix of salt and chipotle peppers for rimming the glass
- Grapefruit wedge for garnish
Instructions
- Rim your glass with your choice of salt, sugar, or a mix of salt and chipotle peppers.
- Measure out 2 oz of mezcal and add it to your cocktail shaker.
- Add 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice and a touch of honey simple syrup.
- Top it off with 1.5 – 2 oz of fresh grapefruit juice.
- Cover and shake well.
- Pour the cocktail into your rimmed glass, leaving a little room at the top.
- Top off with sparkling water and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.

Notes
- If you’re not a fan of smoky flavors, you can substitute tequila for mezcal.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less honey simple syrup.
- You can make a larger batch of this cocktail for parties or gatherings. Just multiply the ingredients by the number of servings you need.
