Description

The Mezcal Paloma is a smoky, citrusy twist on a classic tequila cocktail. It’s refreshing, easy to make, and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 oz mezcal
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • A touch of honey simple syrup
  • 1.52 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • Sparkling water to top
  • Salt, sugar, or a mix of salt and chipotle peppers for rimming the glass
  • Grapefruit wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim your glass with your choice of salt, sugar, or a mix of salt and chipotle peppers.
  • Measure out 2 oz of mezcal and add it to your cocktail shaker.
  • Add 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice and a touch of honey simple syrup.
  • Top it off with 1.5 – 2 oz of fresh grapefruit juice.
  • Cover and shake well.
  • Pour the cocktail into your rimmed glass, leaving a little room at the top.
  • Top off with sparkling water and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.

Notes

  • If you’re not a fan of smoky flavors, you can substitute tequila for mezcal.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less honey simple syrup.
